Flowers!!

Flowers...

the one thing i know nothing about but would love to know everything about them! I have gotten so lost in trying to pick out my bouquets and my bridesmaids that I think I have seen all the pictures on the internet! When I first got engaged I had a bouquet picked out and had my bridesmaids bouquets all picked out but they were kind of expensive! so, with being on a tight budget, I had decided to find a different type of flower and bouquet style. 

Well these are the original bridesmaid flowers. I can not get my original bride bouquet. 

Well here are my new choice:

Aren't these just absolutely gorgeous??? 

I just love the purple and that bright orange color with a hint of the pink in there! It is meant to be! :)

Anyways, since I am on a budget I haven't decided yet if we are going to try to have flowers on the tables for centerpieces or just some candles. 

Otherwise, I think the next blog is gonna be about my bridesmaids....I haven't quite decided yet! :)

The big details!

Well the main things that we have gotten reserved are: the ceremony venue, the reception venue, the photographer, the videographer, and the caterer. As well as having our bridal party all picked out...finally! The ceremony venue is the place that I had stated in my last post. As for the reception place, it is about 30 minutes south of the park. Next is the photographer, Ashley Dale of Lullabye-Photography. She is absolutely amazing....well so far she is! Last, our caterer, is the local farmer's market!

The big problem I have been having trying to plan this amazing wedding of mine is being 6 or so hours away from where everything is! My maid of honor, my family, and my money! My grandma has helped me through planning this wedding more than she probably should have, but she also has my money with her! he he! My fiance is not really a big help, which I did not expect him to be anyways. So far I have had to pick out his whole tux except for the fact that he wants to wear a bright orange (like mandarin orange) and a bow tie!

Which I really don't have a problem with since our colors are pink, orange, and purple...but come one its a little bright! 

Anyways, he also wanted to pick out ALL of the music for our reception, which he has done his list but what about all the songs I want to play!  For some reason, I am lost in the middle of all my planning! 

Now one question I do have...how does it sound to have the groom and best man in that orange and then the rest of the groomsman and ushers in a bright pink?

Well Hello....

Hello!

Since this is my first post I am just going to introduce myself and kind of explain this wonderful blog of mine. It all started on August 6, 2011, when my amazing boyfriend at the time proposed to me. He didn't get down on his knees or anything but he actually took me to a jeweler that came in on his day off and had my great, great grandmothers ring re-fitted into a different setting! 

It had looked exactly like this one just the band was broken.

Anyways, here it is, 2 months later and I am completely lost in my whole wedding planning process. I feel like there are soooooo many things left to do when I have already gotten the big, major things out of the way. The big problem we have is that we live 6 hours away from the town we are actually getting married in. The second  big problem is that we can't find a minister to marry us. The problem with my church and why they can't is because my fiance and I live together. They wanted us to move out and stop having sexual intercourse (that we could do, moving we could not). 

With this in mind, my fiance really did not want to get married in my church anyway. So, we have made plans to get married outside at a park overlooking the Mississippi River! We had always wanted an outside wedding and was trying to keep it cheaper by doing it at my church. But all in all we are getting what we wanted! It is gorgeous!

Anyways this is it for now! The fiance is getting restless! hehe
